Using the Flask of Wondrous Physick

Elden Ring can be an unforgiving place if players fear losing their hard-earned runes, leading them to scale back from being offensive in order to reduce the risk of their precious runes being taken away from them. Using the Twiggy Cracked Tear

Many FromSoftware games allow players to regain any lost XP they accumulated when they die by returning to the location where they died and recovering it; but should they die again before reaching it, all their accumulated points will be gone forever.

Elden ring runes serve as a currency, and while it is important to spend them as they come in, there are ways you can protect the ones you have earned if needed. One method involves using the Sacrificial Twig from Varre's questline at Rose Church in Liurnia as an effective protection mechanism.

Crystal Tear is another option available to players that keeps players from losing Runes upon death and can be recharged by visiting Sites of Grace - making this less reliable but still helpful. It can be purchased from Weeping Peninsula's Isolated Merchant or found by killing Wormface creatures in Altus Plateau and Crumbling Farum Azula. Buying it from Isolated Merchant and charging at Site of Grace may provide protection. Although less reliable, Crystal Tear still remains useful.
